Mr. David Michael Marrone, 23, a resident of the Miners Mills section of the city, passed into Eternal Life tragically and unexpectedly early Saturday morning as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Dupont.

     Born October 4, 1994 in the Queens Borough of New York City, he was son to Ms. Corie A. Marrone of Miners Mills.

     David was educated in the New York City school system prior to his family's relocation to the Wyoming Valley.

     Prior to his passing, he was employed as a cashier for the McDonald's Restaurant on River Street in Plains.  Previously, he worked for several local roofing companies.

     David is remembered as being a loving son and nephew who had a heart of gold.  He loved his family and friends, and would do anything he could to help someone in need.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rosemary Munno and Bonnie Marrone.

     Left to face his passing are his beloved mother Corie at home; his sister, Rosemary Marrone and her children Giselle, Jacob, Lyric and Jayda, all of Wilkes-Barre; Several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

     Memorial funeral services for David will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. from the North Wilkes-Barre location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 625 North Main Street.

     The Reverend Kenneth M. Seegar, pastor of the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, North Wilkes-Barre,  will serve as celebrant with Liturgy of the Word and prayers of committal.

     Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.

     Relatives and friends may join the Marrone family from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services Saturday morning at the funeral home for visitation and shared remembrances.

     Memorial donations are preferred and will be accepted at the funeral home in lieu of floral tributes, to assist David's family at this time.
