Donna Marie Swida

     Miss Donna Marie Swida, 55, a resident of Hanover Township, fell asleep in the Lord unexpectedly Monday morning after being stricken ill.

     Born January 21, 1963 in Wilkes-Barre Township, she was the daughter of Mrs. Helen (Citsay) Swida and the late Mr. Edward Swida Sr. who passed in 1998.

     Donna Marie is remembered as being a loving daughter, sister and friend who would brighten the day of those she touched in this life.

     Left to mourn her passing in addition to her mother Helen at home are her loving brothers Edward, Hanover Township and David, also at home who assisted his mother as her caregiver; Niece Jessica Swida; Nephew, Ethan Jarrin; several cousins; Dear family friends and caregivers, Mrs. Louise Kubek and Mrs. Bonnie Ross, both of Hanover Township.

     Funeral services for Donna Marie will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the Office of Christian Burial in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 526 Church Street, Georgetown section of Wilkes-Barre Township. The Reverend Mykhaylo Prodanets, pastor and Cantor George Daru, her cousin, will offer Panachida for the blessed repose of her soul.

     Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.

     Relatives and friends may join Donna's family for visitation and remembrances Saturday morning directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
