     Mr. Gene Arthur Llywellyn "Breeze" LaCaille, a resident of North Washington Street in the city's north end section, formerly of the Bronx Borough of New York City, entered into Eternal Life early Saturday morning in the care of Celtic Healthcare Hospice inpatient unit at Gesinger South Wilkes-Barre following an illness.

     Born March 21, 1945 in North Guayaguayare, county of Mayaro in Trinidad, he was a son to the late Cecil Anthony and Elaine Ermintrude (Parris) LaCaille.  He was educated in the Trinidad schools, and after immigrating to New York City, continued his vocational education by becoming a certified master welder.

     Prior to his retirement, Mr. LaCaille was employed by the local pipe fitters union in the Bronx.  After his retirement, he and his wife relocated to the Wyoming Valley, settling in the North End section of the city.

     Disliking farm-raised animals for consumption, he preferably enjoyed wild meats and fish he would receive from fellow hunters and fishermen.

     He was preceded in death by his father Cecil, a brother, Royce and most recently by his mother Eliane who passed on October 2nd in Trinidad.

     Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife, Mrs. Theodora Marina (Phillip) LaCaille, at home; Children, Ras Seleme, Robert Marichau, Adasha, Regina and Eugene; Several grandchildren; Brother, Michael of Trinidad, Sisters Elizabeth Ann LaCaille of New York City and Wilkes-Barre and Patricia also of Trinidad; A host of nieces, nephews, fellow co-workers and dear friends.

     Funeral services for Mr. LaCaille will be conducted on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the North Wilkes-Barre location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 625 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 226 South Washington Street.  The Reverend Joseph D. Verespy, pastor will serve as celebrant and homilist.

     Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery of Saint Andre Bessette Parish, Dorchester Drive, Dallas.

     Relatives and friends may join the LaCaille family for visitation and remembrances Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
