Mr. Joseph B. Haslinsky, 85, formerly of Wilkes-Barre and Laceyville, more recently, a resident of Saint Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre, passed into Eternal Life Wednesday morning at the facility following a recent illness.
Born March 21, 1933 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Anna (Sikora) Haslinsky. Educated in the city schools, he was a graduate of the former Saint Nicholas High School, Wilkes-Barre.
Until his retirement, Mr. Haslinsky worked as a mechanic with Stackhouse Auto Electric of West Pittston for several years.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Ann Komnath, Mrs. Mary Welnoski and Mrs. Dorothy Williams and by brothers, Mr. John Haslinsky and Mr. Albert Haslinsky.
Left to mourn his passing are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews including his caregiver, Mrs. Carol A. Marino of Wilkes-Barre Township.
Per Joseph's previous requests, funeral services will be private and at the convenience of his family. There will be no formal visitation.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will be in Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery of Saint Andre Bessette Parish, Dorchester Drive Dallas.
