Miss Marianne R. Baloga, 75, retired English teacher for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, dear cousin, neighbor and friend, passed into Eternal Life late Wednesday morning in the care of Timber Ridge Nursing Center, Plains Township where she recently r sided.  Upon her removal from the facility, staff members and fellow residents lined the main hallway to the front doors as a final sign of respect and frendship to one of their own.
     Born February 3, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter to the late Cyril and Margaret (Tomko) Baloga.  Educated in the city schools, she was a graduate of the James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre.  She furthered her education towards her perfession by attaining a masters degree in English from the former College Misericordia in Dallas.
     Miss Baloga was a member of the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, Wilkes-Barre, having previously been a life member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Slovak Roman Catholic Church, North Wilkes-Barre.  She was very active in Sacred Heart parish functions, working the annual bazaars, and was a certified lifeguard for the pool at the former parish park in Dallas for several years.
     Until her retirement, Miss Baloga was an English teacher for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, serving her entire career at the G.A.R. Memorial High School.  Her professional involvement included the Pennsylvania State Educators Association, the National Education Association and the Wilkes-Barre Area Teachers Association.
     In addition to her beloved parents, Marianne was preceded in death by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
     Surviving are her cousins, John C. Gerich and his wife Loree of Plains Township; dear friend and caregiver, Sharon R. Jones of Hanover Township; her beloved family dog, Missy; several teaching colleagues, neighbors and dear friends.
     Funeral services for Miss Baloga will be conducted on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the North Wilkes-Barre location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 625 North Main Street followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, 668 North Main Street.   The Reverend Kenneth M. Seegar, pastor will serve as celebrant and homilist.
     Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery of Saint Andre Bessette Parish, Dorchester Drive, Dallas.
     Relatives and friends may join the family for visitation and remembrances Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
