   Mr. Paul "Bear" Sedon, 64, a resident of Mountain Top, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, fell asleep in the Lord unexpectedly Friday, December 29th returning from a visit with his family for the holidays.

     Born October 3rd, 1953 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son to Mrs. Doris J. (Gaidish) Sedon and the late Mr. John Sedon Jr., who passed October 11th, 1999.

     Educated locally, Paul was a graduate of the James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre class of 1972 and later furthered his education by attaining an Associate's Degree at Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke.

     Prior to his untimely, passing, Paul was employed as a corrosion technician with the natural gas division of U.G.I. Corporation, Wilkes-Barre Township.

     He held membership with Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre Township.  In his children's youth, Paul previously served as a volunteer with Troop #55 of the Boy Scouts of America in Wilkes-Barre, and also assisted as coach for his daughter's girls' softball league in South Wilkes-Barre.

     In addition to his father's passing, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jerry Dunn, Tommy Matchko, Daniel Burke and by a nephew , Brian David Sedon.

     Left to mourn his own passing are his beloved wife of twenty-five years this past October 2nd, the former Carol A. (Burke) Sedon, at home; Son, Paul Thomas Sedon, graduate of the Lackland Air Force Base military school, Lackland, Texas and Alyson June Sedon, a student at Crestwood High School also at home;  Brothers and Sisters; John and his wife Ann Marie of Hudson; Michael and his wife Marcia of Bear Creek Township; Susanna Dunn of Newtown;  Joseph and his wife Cindy of Wilkes-Barre;  Ann Marie Matchko  of Las Vegas, Nevada and Stephan along with his wife Suzanne  of Wilkes-Barre; 17 nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; His uncle Nicholas Sedon of Hazleton; Numerous cousins, fellow co-workers and dear friends. 

     Funeral services with Panachida for Paul will be conducted on Thursday, January 11th at 9:30 a.m. from the Wilkes-Barre Heights location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 281 East Northampton Street, followed by the Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 526 Church Street, Wilkes-Barre Township. 

     The Reverend Mykhaylo Prodanets, pastor, will serve as celebrant and homilist.  Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot of Holy Assumption of Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Lake Street, Dallas.

     Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of floral tributes, Paul's family would be humbled if those contemplating a memorial contribution in his memory, kindly consider a donation to Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 526 Church Street, Wilkes-Barre Township, PA 18702.
