Francis Wright Obituary
Mr. Francis M. Wright, 87, a resident of Wilkes-Barre's Heights neighborhood, passed into eternal life unexpectedly Wednesday morning as an emergency patient shortly after arrival in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Hospital.
Born February 21, 1934 in Edwardsville, he was the son of the late Francis and Anna (Myers) Wright. Educated in the Edwardsville schools, he was a graduate of the former Edwardsville High School.
Until his retirement, Mr. Wright worked in the local hospitality industry within the maintenance department of several area hotels.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Janet Payne at home; Sons, Michael Wright and his companion Emily Myers of Wilkes-Barre, David Wright and his companion Roberto Rubio of Denton, TX; Grandchildren, Connor and Addy Wright; Several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Per his previous request, funeral services for Mr. Wright will be held privately and at the convenience of his family from the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc. of Wilkes-Barre. There will be no formal visitation.
