Mr. George R. Horensky, 76, a resident of the Temple Apartments, Edwardsville, passed into eternal life unexpectedly at his residence Wednesday afternoon.
Born January 31, 1944 in Newark, New Jersey, he was son to the late George and Anna (Potsko) Horensky. Educated in the New Jersey schools, George attained his Master of Science degree in physics from the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. While at Stevens Institute, he served as teaching assistant to the underclassmen for several years.
Devoted to his Lutheran faith, Mr. Horensky also served as church sexton for the Zion Lutheran Church of Clark, New Jersey for a number of years. Following relocation to his familial roots in the Wyoming Valley, he previously was a congregant of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Left to hold dear his memory are several beloved generations of cousins and good friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Horensky will be held privately and at the convenience of his family from the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc. North Wilkes-Barre location, 625 North Main Street.
Interment will be in the family plot of Maple Hill Cemetery, 68 Saint Mary's Road, Hanover Township. There will be no formal visitation.
