Mrs. Gertrude G. (Gibbons) Alles, 94, a resident of the Heights section of Wilkes-Barre, passed peacefully into Eternal Life Wednesday morning while in the care of Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing following a recent illness.
Born December 6, 1925 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the last of seven children to the late John and Anna (Connor) Gibbons. In her youth, and following her formal education, Mrs. Alles took employment with the former Bell Telephone Company in Wilkes-Barre for several years. She would later meet and eventually marry her beloved husband Robert. Together the couple would raise four wonderful children and watch their families grow into adulthood.

Left to cherish the wonderful memories they have of her are her children, Robert L. Alles and his wife Maureen of Clarks Summit; Raymond Alles and his wife Carla of Wilkes-Barre; Anne Scibilia of Kingston and Marian Newton and her husband David of O'Fallon, MO; Ten grandchildren, Twelve Great-Grandchildren; Brother-in-law, Paul Alles, Swoyersville; Numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
