Mary A. (Blizman) Peplinski

Mrs. Mary A. (Blizman) Peplinski, 87, a resident of Plains Township, entered peacefully into Eternal Life the morning of Wednesday, December 8, 2021, while in the care of Allied Meade Street Skilled Nursing, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Iskra) Blizman. Educated in the city schools, Mrs. Peplinski attended the former James M. Coughlin High School of Wilkes-Barre and later became a seamstress in the valley’s previous garment industry.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Mr. Edward Peplinski at home; son, Edward and wife, Michelle of Hanover Township; daughter, Mary Geise and her husband, Ronald of Moosic; and by a sister, Donna Peplinski.

Mary was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sarah Johnson; and sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Ihnat; and brother, John Blizman.

She will be missed by her beloved grandchildren, Emily Peplinski; and Hunter Geise.

Funeral services for Mrs. Peplinski will be held Saturday, December 11 with her funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, 668 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.  The Reverend Kenneth M. Seegar, pastor, serving as celebrant and homilist.

Interment will be held privately in Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery of Saint Andre Bessette Parish, Dorchester Drive, Dallas.

The family requests that all family and friends attending kindly wear a mask.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
